We have a message from Explorer leader Debbie today, it sounds like the Explorers had an exciting meeting last night! 🏄‍♀️🏄‍♂️🌊🐶Last night Explorers had a special visitor, Scooter the UK’s only Surf 🏄‍♂️ Therapy dog with his surf buddy Kirstie. They showed us the work they do to support young people with mental health issues at One Wave Bracklesham Bay using the health benefits of the sea and waves 🌊 Kirstie showed us how people who are visually and physically impaired can still surf. The Explorers then got to try out the equipment and meet Scooter. From next April Scooter and Kirstie will be running regular meetings to support young people through One Wave Bracklesham Bay. Kirstie is also looking for young people Explorer age range to volunteer in supporting the work done by this charity/community concern. Anyone interested in using the services or volunteering to support the work (Duke of Edinburgh & Young Leader) can contact Kirstie through the sites below.
